I put a new timming belt verified timming marks are set correct. The car starts fine there is no pickup but as long as you take your time it will get up to speed. When you first start out you get a strong gas smell with a lot of black exhaust after you are moving or stop and stop again, without turning the engine off, it's not as bad. I've replaced the plugs, distriutor cap & rotor, spark plug wires, fuel filter and air filters. There are no gas leaks that I can find or driping on the ground.

Do a fuel pressure test
turn key off and check if pressure go down
check for a leaky injectors and or fuel pressure regulator
also check EGR and exhaust system back pressure
let me know
