Imputing anti-theft codes 4 radio

2000 Pontiac GranAm GT 80K. I need a new battery. When I disconect the old battery the anti-theft device in th radio will make it inoperable. I have the activation codes given to me by a Pontiac dealer when they had to activate it before. What I need to know is how and where do I imput these numbers.

I found out how to do this. If you know yout code do the following:
1. Turn key to ACC.
2. Turn off radio
3. Push and hold the # 1 and 4 buttons till SEC appears
4. Push in MIN button and _ _ _ appears
5. Push min button until last 2 numbers of your code appear
6. Push hr. Button until first 1 or 2 numbers appear.
7. When your code is showing push in the am/fm button to complete the task.
Use the same proceedure to re-activate the anti-theft.
No more than 15 sec can elasp between each procedure. If it does the radio will go back to SEC and you must start over.
