The Battery hold down on my montana won't come off. Is there a nut on the bottom which needs to be held to undo this.

I'm trying to get the battery out of the vehicle, but the fastener bolt won't come out.
I'm using the 13mm socket, finally was able to turn it, but it does not lift, only turning. The bolt does not look 'round' nor does the socket. I've tried to get a screw driver under. Stuck.
