I have a 2000 Grand Prix and came up with the codes 102,412,418, and 443 all in the same day. I'm curious if replacing the MAF (I cleaned it already) will eliminate the other codes or vice versa. How would I go about fixing 412 which is secondary air injection system switching valve A circuit malfunction? Any help would be great!

update: I bought a used MFA and installed it and all of the above codes still came up on the scanner! I really need some help with this one. Something tells me the last 3 codes are causing the 102 (mfa) code to come up. HELP!
Also, when the car is in gear at a red light the idle will jump up and down from 500 to 1500 rpm. I unhooked the mass air flow sensor and the smaller sensor in between the filter and manifold. It now starts easier when cold but obviously I haven't fixed anything. Plugs and wires are new also new air filter.

To go throught e diagnostics for these codes (0412,0418) a scan tool is helpful, but if not available I would got to the link at the bottom of the main forum page "Repair Manuals", enter your vehicle and click on the "repair" link on top of page, go to "engine performance" then "testing and diagnosis". Click on "self-diagnostics, 3.1 &3.4l ". Far right menu click on "diagnostic trouble code definition" once there look up your codes and click on the code number on the left and it will give you the full diagnostic procedure

I do have a scan tool. That's how I got the codes. I also have the definitions of the codes but without a scematic(manual) or procedures I have no clue where this stuff is. Are you saying I should buy a Mitchell online manual? That's all I can find at the bottom of the forum page. If that'll help I'll get it. I'm just a bit leary of Chilton type manuals that cover too many years of one specific vehicle.

Mitchell-On_demand is the same software used by the pros. Each year is specific to that vehicle and the schematics are printable
