Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Automatic 87,000 miles

I just recently got my car worked on. It flooded and lots of antifreeze was leaked onto the engine and other parts of the car. It now dies when I'm at a stop sign and then I have to start it back up. My mechanic said this was normal from all the antifreeze that was leaked and it's trying to get it all out of the system. He says I will have to drive about 50-100 miles. Do you think this is normal or not?

Hello, usually when you say the engine flooded, your talking about fuel? I'm not sure where the antifreeze came from?

If it won't idle, I'd check the idle system. Are there any codes? Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free.

If multiple connectors got wet, they should dry out, sooner or later?
