2005 Pontiac Grand Am thernostat

I am trying to fix the thermostat on my 2005 Pontiac Grand Am and I am wondering where the location of the thermostat is at?

I can give you two locations as I dont know for sure and I cant find my pontiac manual. It is either where the upper radiator hose is mounted to the engine, where it is connected is the thermostat housing, if there is no part that can be removed where the first hose connects then it is not there, then you should follow the lower radiator hose to where it meets the engine, if its not up there then it is down there.
