2000 Pontiac Grand Am passlock anti theft system

When I go to start my car the security lite comes on and I have to wait ten minutes before it starts, it has been doing this 3to4 times a day. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times but they nver seem to fix it, I would like to know if there is a way I could disconnect it, or do you have any other suggestions.

Turn key on
security light flashing.

Try to start and let go leave key on
security light flasher for about 10 min
when it stops
turn key off and start car
key needed to be reprogrammed.

In some rear cases you may have to do that 3 times total of 30 min.

I just had this same problem. My mechanic put a new ignition switch in and it hasn't happened since (knock on wood). It cost me around $100 and was definitely worth every penny!
