1995 Pontiac Grand Am rough loping idol!

My 1995 grandam 2.3 quad 4 engine has a lope to the idol and gets alittle better when you step on it but it is not performing like it should! I have bought a new map sensor and it did not help it. I put a new TPS sensor on it today and no better. What is the problem with this? Thank you!

Not much goes wrong with this engine besides coil cover and spark plug wires. If you have not changed the ignition coil housing and done a tune up, I would start there. The coil cover acts like a distributor cap and on this model it causes crossfiring, like your describing. Let us know how you make out.
