1995 Pontiac Grand Am fan

My fan stopped working about a week ago, a few hours later it started working again. Today I was driving home and relized I was freezing. The fan stopped working again. Me and my dad are puzzeled as to what is making this happen, please help

Not working at any speed most likely the blower motor no good
place the fan switch speed at high and check for a ground at one of the wires at the blower motor
one wire should have power 12v and the other ground and if so replace the blower motor
