Good Morning

I am new to the pontiac repair and am having trouble trying to get the bottom bolt out of the alternator in my 91 firebird. I am able to remove the wiring and the front top and rear top bolts but the long one on the bottom is not coming out. I have managed to back it out an inch or so but it will not move any further. Also how do I remove the belt with out messing things up.
