The AC of my 02 Firebird has recently started cutting in and out multiple times at idling speed at a stop light sometimes causing the engine oil pressure to drop a bit and in one case causing the engine temperature to rise beyond the median setting. The idling speed of my engine is around 750 RPM and doesnt change when the AC keeps cutting in and out (IAC motor problem?). The cooling i'd say is medium compared to other cars ive owned as this is the first summer ive owned it. At highway or even city driving conditions it behaves perfectly normal.

U were perfectly right the cooling fans are not cutting in. As long as the car is moving though I have no problems with the AC. The temp holds perfectly good also while moving.

Check underhood relay/fuse box for two fan fuses and 3 fan relays. Does a fan come on when engine heats up?
