1999 Pontiac Firebird spark plug wires

I replaced plugs and wires on my car,a friend of mine said I replaced 2 wires wrong so he replaced them supposedly the right way.This car runs like crapnow.I saw that the first spark plug and wire I replaced were not in the same order yet he said that is how the firing order showed him. now I think everything is messed up.Some help please
