The gas gauge will not read correctly, it's stuck at the full mark. I'm not sure how to fix it so I can know how much gas I have.

You can disconnect the fuel sender harness from the tank and measure resistance from the wires going into tank. GM cars are generally 0-90ohms, 0 being empty and 90 being full. If you get 90ohms, then the sender is bad. If less, then the gauge in the IP is bad.
