I have a 1999 Pontiac Firebird 6 cylinder. I checked the coolant a few days ago and it was empty. The Coolant reservoir was empty also. There are no obvious leaks. The car is not getting hot or anything else that I notice.

The only thing I did notice was when I removed the cap type dipstick from the reservoir, it looked like it had some brown crud coverig the stick about 1/4 of the way up with no water dripping off of it.

Thank you,
Joe

Joe:

I recommend cleaning that out and refilling the system. If there is a leak, with the system full you should see it. Also, check the passanger side floor for coolant from a bad heater core.

Let me know what you find.
