when water is poured into the radiator it comes out around the compressor where the belt is

The best thing to do is pressurize the system and visually inspect the engine. This will give you a definite place where your leak is coming from.

Yours could be from the water pump, a freeze plug in the head/block, a cracked head/block, etc. There's a few places that water could leak from around your a/c compressor. (But not actually from your compressor)

I'd have to know exactly where this leak is coming from in order to tell you how to fix it.
