1995 Pontiac Firebird trans trouble

I have a 1995 pontiac formula firebird lt1 v8 automatic the trans shifts fine and pulls good but it dont want to go into over drive unless you throttle it but as soon as you let off gas it will jump out of over drive to like its in nutrel but when you give it gas it will rev up till it catches up to the drive gear but it pulls great in all the gears does not slip what could be my problem oh and my motor has a little vibration at a certian rpm form like 2000 to like 25 2600 dont know what to do or check any input would help so much thanks

You need to take this to a trans guy to diagnose. He can see if there are any electrical issues with it. But with the mileage, don't be surprised if he tells you its overhaul time. It actually sounds like your lockup clutch is slipping in the torque converter.

Thank you for your advice I dont really have the money right now to fix was told that trans has been gone through but dont know do you think that it might be a shift solonoid maybe or there is something for the torque converter some kinda solonoid but thank you so much for your input the trans fluid is not burnt and is clean and clear

That's why you need to take it to a trans shop as it could be a solonoid or an electrical problem that is causign this. It may not be that much to fix. They can run a code check on it to find out.
