1991 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 91 firebird 3.1 v6 it runs rich shots code 35 i can drive and when i stop somtimes it will die then starts right back up smells like gas

Probable causes of an engine running rich are as follows:

1. Fuel pressure not within specs. Can be cause by restricted fuel return line or defective fuel pressure regulator.
2. Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3. Leaking injectors.
4. Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5. Restricted air intake system.
