Engine Performance problem
1987 Pontiac Firebird Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a Firebird with the 305 T.P.I in it has many new parts (I.E computer maf egr valve full tune up Ect Ect.)
Wen I start the car she will start to make a poping noise around 3k rpms the stop after about 45k rpms. But also when the car gets floored it will stop "Pulling at 3k rpms it will still gain speed but very slowly. It feels like the car is not advacing or something is holding it back. The car does advance fine(I hooked up a scanner to it.) So please ANY help would be great. No one can seem to figure out the problem. So this is a great shot to put your skills to the test.

Have the fuel pressure, ignition timing, knock and throttle position sensors checked out to include a back pressure check on the exhaust system

To check backpressure-use a 0-15psi pressure gauge and remove the oxygen sensor-the reading should be less than 1.5 pressure at idle not to exceed 3 psi

I'm unable to furnish the fuel pressure specs not in the Mit1 auto references, I'll keep trying though
