1986 Pontiac Firebird Trunk lock broken

I jusrt closed the trunk and now the key will not unlock the trunk. Is there any way to open the trunk from the inside so I can make the repairs?

I am looking at this same exact problem. I am thinking the only way to resolve it is to man up and remove the panel on the inside. This is to get at the lock . After removing the panel remove the lock. Install is the reverse.
