The fan will not run unless air conditioner is on. I have changed out the Fan relay switch with no results. I have changed out the fan switch / heat sensor at the thermostat and a new thermostat, still fan will not come on when heat gets above 180 degree. What else am I missing?

Have you tried a test light to check for voltage in the wires? These fans are controlled by the fan switch in the radiator, and an overide for the a/c...238 degrees to turn fan on...The teset is to unplug the connector, use 14 gauge wire to the battery, and fan should run. If not defect list could include , car battery, coolant relay, coolant temp switch, or a/c relay....check all! Relay locations vary by engine size and carb or fuel injected...

Hello,
I have a Trans Am GTA 5.7 engine. When I turn the key to the on position the Aux. Cooling fan runs, the reg. Cooling fan does not. I have replaced the coolant temp. Sensor in the front of the block and have tested the relays which seem to be ok. It acts like the cold start fuel circuit is not working properly. After it warms up the engine runs fine but the aux. Cooling fan still runs with out the A/C turned on. I have just replace the all 8 of the fuel injectors. Can you point me in the right direction, PLEASE!
Thank you have a nice day
Denis

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked the temp sensor? How does it run when cold?
