Interior problem
2000 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The cable has disconected from the window and kinked and twisted. Not sure where the end of this cable goes or how to get it back on the motor pully.
Does a new motor come with the new cable?
How to hook up to window itself?

There is a known issue with the cable pulley system in the 2000's (not sure if it extends to others). There is a plastic/nylon housing that breaks causing the cable to become twisted and allowing the windows to fall. When buying the replacement part, it comes as a kit which includes the motor and cable as well as the track - everything you need.

Good news, bad news, if you have done much research you will find that MANY people have had this issue and have had it fixed at about $400 a pop, only to have it happen again.

The stock parts from GM are going to break again. There is a place on e bay that sells the part but I have not tried it to see if it works.

My two rear windows are secured in place by installing a bolt and a nut on the track to prevent the window from falling.
