1999 Pontiac Bonneville lack of overdrive

My bonne worked fine until last week when I left work in a hurry and put the car in gear before all of the idiot lights were off could this have caused a sensor or solenoid to malfunction

Possible torque converter clutch problem but most likely internal problems. Take it to a trans shop and have them road test with a scanner and they will know for sure. Usually they wont charge you for a test drive.
