1992 Pontiac Bonneville Oil Pressure

I have 1992 Pontiac Bonneville V6 my oil pressure gauge has been jumping around. It will read abou 50-60psi and it will jump to 120 for a second and then go back and it repeat this process every so often. Would this be a cause of a bad oil sending unit?

I have a 1992 bonneville and mine acts like it possessed. It jumps around all over the place. Ive had it looked at and the system gone through and they said it was just a broken guage. Unless it starts overheating, smoking or something else I would just chalk it up to being busted. Those are usually the first things to go out anyway
