I have a 1998 plymouth voyager with 163500 miles on it. The trans just recently started slipping bad so I checked the fliud level and it looked like a milkshake. I didn't know where any water would come from so I looked in the radiator and that looked just like the trans fluid. Is my trans bad now or could I just put a new raditaor in the van and a coolant flush along with a full trans flush, fill and filter change?

The transmission cooler compartment on the radiator is leaking internally mixing both transmission fluid and coolant

Now if I just changed out the radiaotr and did a rtans flush and filter change along with a coolant flush and fill, would that fix m y problem of the slipping trans or am I too late?

I'll go for it-its a lot cheaper fix if your lucky-I've been in situation with trannies nothing compared to yours such as car park for 3 days refuses to move in reverse-all it takes is fluid change and up to level.

Welll I got the trans flushed and a new filter put in along with the coolant flushed. It took a few days for the trans to start shifting but it now shifts just fine and I have had no slipping since the work was done. I know I am very lucky. It has been working for me so I hope this helps others if they can catch it right away.
