1998 Plymouth Voyager Could it be the hose

If water drips a little by waterpump down the hose could the hose need to be change instead of the whole waterpump?

Yes, it could be just the hose. If it has the Spring Clamp holding it and not a regular worm gear hose clamp. If it is the spring clamp it has possibly weaked over the years and is not holding enough tension to keep it from leaking.

Next thing to look at is the pump itself - it has diaphram holes and could be leaking there one way to tell is to look closely at the pump you should be able to see what looks like water stains running down the pump above the hose connection.
