Help! Please?
We have a 1997 Plymouth Voyager, we have replaced the crank sensor, the muffler, brakes, wheel cylinders, basic tune-up items, a/c hose and the Transmission! Right after we put the new trans in we are now getting code P0743, but the back up lights also will not work (they didn't work before the trans went). My husband has been out of work for 2 years with a major injury he obtained at work so we can't afford to keep pumping money into this van. 3 transmissions and it's only got 91,000 miles! Please help, any info would be great!
p.S. Van seems to run and drive fine

P0743= Torque converter clutch circuit electrical.
Can be as simple as a loose connector, or a wiring problem. Make sure all connectors are OK check for corrosion, and bent or pushed out pins.

We tried to reconnect the torc converter connector, the pin was pushed over to the side, after sitting in the line at the dmv, the dang light came back on with the same code! What should we look for with the wiring problem?
Thank you so much for your help.

Unfortunately that's about as far as you can go. The rest will need a scantool called DRBIII or two way capable scanner to communicate with the TCM, All you can do is use an ohm meter at both ends of the connectors, to see if there is a short. It is possible for the solinoid to be NG.

Thanks, we tried the OHM meter on both ends of the connector and it said that there was juice, can't figure it out, I was thinking that it's probably not the trans, since the back up lights didnt work before we replaced it, so maybe its a wiring problem? It's just weird. Please let me know if you have any other ideas, we had it on the reader, and the only code is P0743?
