I would like to know where the transmission lockup solenoid on a 97 plymouth voyager three speed tranny with a 2.4 engine is located and how do you remove it to put another one in?

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) lock-up is activated in 3rd gear only. TCC is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). TCC solenoid is located on valve body and receives battery voltage when ignition is turned on.
The PCM controls TCC solenoid ground circuit for TCC lock-up operation. TCC lock-up depends on input signals to the PCM provided by various sensors.
TCC lock-up is monitored by PCM. The PCM self-diagnostic system stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in memory in the event of a malfunction. DTCs can be retrieved for TCC diagnosis.
