I got a check engine light on in my 1998 Plymouth Breeze. It has a 2.4L and the code reader tells me Lean condition Bank 1. What could cause this lean running condition? It did not specify a sensor or problem. I do not want to pay a mechanic to guess at this problem when I can do the same thing. Any help would be great.
Thank you

You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs! If that doesnt do it, tell me your symtoms, rough idle, car stalling etc.
