Bought this car from a used lot about a year ago and it worked fine for around 3/4ths of a year and has been sitting not working in my driveway since. I did some looking and it seemed that the biggest culprit was the "pass lock" system. I decided to replace the ignition switch and after that did not work I installed The bypass resistor thing with no luck. After this didn't work I looked more on YouTube and tried multiple different ideas like, resetting the alarm on the radio, messing with fuses, and such. I have tried to make it relearn the key multiple times throughout all of the fixes with no luck.

Hello. Been there, done that. I'd put money on a failed BCM.I fought with one like that last year. It was a 1999 Buick Century. Different car but the same system. Finally, I bought a used BCM from eBay for about $25.00. Installed it and ran the pass lock relearn procedure. Car was fine after that.

Attached, you'll find the removal and replacement procedure as well as the 30 minute relearn procedure. Pull the BCM and search eBay for that part number. Get the exact part number. Once it's installed and and relearned, you should be good to go.

Do that and let us know how it goes. Good luck.
