Dear 2CarPros,

I just got an error code yesterday and could not found what that mean in the internet it is P3100. Since a month a go my car does not run smooth. It is erratic when cold start. Now just yesterday I got check engine light on and it shows P3100. What it is and what I should check on?

Hello, I'm Danny.

I tried looking up info for a Kia Rio but the highest numerical powertrain code is P1800. Can you give me the VIN (vehicle identification number)? I'll see if your car matches something else in our Kia database. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thank you for your help, and this is my VIN number "KNABA24434T013331". I have try to check in Google but I fount only for Ford, Toyota but not Kia Picanto.

Hello again.

Here in the U.S. The most similar Kia model comparable to your Picanto is the Rio. Both have a 4 cylinder engine. Can you recheck or reverify the code number. As I stated the highest numerical P code we have is P1800. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Hello Danny.

Yes, I have recheck via my wifi ELM327 v1.5 scanner using torque app on my android phone it show P3100 and another one is the old code that not yet been fixed properly.

Okay, it shows on your code reader for the code P3100 you can tap for more information. If you can do that and provide a code description I might be able to match it with something I can find. Dear Sir.

Thank you and sorry that I was not reply since than, because I got very busy to prepare thing for my customer. Today I have sometime, so I have check the P3100 link in the app it said "No diagnostic trouble code match found". Kind of weird. So do you have any idea for that?

For whatever reason that code doesn't exist on your car. I did send you repair guides for the other code P0731 that would affect your cars performance. Has anyone been able to check for you? Keep us updated what you find out. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
