Good afternoon,

The most common cause the the pedal sensor on the fuel pedal. It is a simple fix and the part is available from your local parts store.

Roy

1. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) sound insulator.
2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor electrical connector (1).

3. Remove the APP sensor assembly bolts.
4. Remove the APP sensor assembly from the vehicle.

I erased the code on it and the engine light went off and hasn’t came back on yet, is that a good thing?

Erasing does nothing. The code will return at some point. The issue was there and is still there.

It is a matter of time before it comes back.
