I'm having the blinking drive on my car after I replaced my transmission. I switched the pressure control sensor with my old transmission and I know it was working on that one no problem. This one is a Japanese model so I'm wondering if I have to update the PCM? I checked my wiring everything plugged up. Any ideas? Should I buy a new one and test it again or is there something else?

Hi,

I assume this is not a CVT transmission. The idea that you have a different model transmission makes me question if there is more going on. If the original transmission wasn't a Japanese model, it is likely wrong for the new one. But my concern is if there are enough differences to cause the PCM to not function the transmission correctly.

Do me a favor. Take a look through the diagnostics below and let me know if you are comfortable performing them. They are specific to the code you have.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
