P0731 code

When cold it drives fine no issues. Once warmed up it starts losing first gear. Transmission malfunction light comes on and it goes into limp mode starting out in second gear. Runs through second - fourth gears fine. If you shut it off warm and start it back up it has no first gear. I have to rev it up and then it drops in second gear and goes. Park it and let it cool and it starts running fine again until it warms up. Transmission fluid is clean. Normal amount of shavings in pan for 162000 miles. Throws p0731 code. That is it.

Have a transmission professional look at this it may be a solenoid out, but I kind of doubt it it is probably a seal or clutch pak slipping on the transmission, especially since you say it it okay cold, but warm is where it has the problem.
