Im having issues with my speed sensor. The speedometer and odometer do not work and check engine light gives the p0500 code for the speed sensor, I have checked fuses, replaced speed sensor and still did not work. I also tried slaving in a instrument cluster and even a ECM. And still no change. I check the wires to make sure there is no break from the harness to the computer. At this point I have no other ideas. PLEASE HELP

Check the VSS driving gear and ensure it is not worn.

The part that is plugged into transmission, not the sensor.
