This vehicle is rough idle, sputtering, misfire.
I found injector wiring harness burned at intermediate connection and replaced from injector connection to intermediate connection (not PCM), still showing P0206 code.
When I removed the MAP sensor to check with hand vacuum pump, (pumping down MAP sensor past 10Hg, causes engine to die) the RPM increased immediately, when I plug this opening, it shuts off. Is it running rich?
Restarting here are the readings:
Short trim fuel B-1 = 0.0%
short trim fuel B-1, S1= -25%
short trim fuel B-1, S2 99.2%
CO2 B-1, S1=0.645V
CO2 B-1, S2= 0.470V
RPM 1300-1425
Absolute throttle =13.7%
MAP (off plenum) 29.7 Hg (code reader reading) (opening unobstructed)
vacuum reading on plenum= 8. Hg (open MAP location opening unobstructed)
What do you think this could be?
I appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi,

Is this the only code, P0206? Also, looking at your fuel trims, they are all over the place.

In a perfect world, it would be 0%. In reality, you can usually expect it to be between -10% and +10%. Looking at the readings you have, the -25% indicated a rich mixture that the computer is trying to fix. The +99% indicates the opposite, it's adding an extreme amount of fuel to compensate for a lean mixture. I suspect (and this it just a thought) the 0% is while it was in a closed loop (first started).

You indicated the injector passed the noid light test. That simply indicates power to the injector and that the PCM is providing a ground path. It doesn't indicate if the injector is working properly. It could be sticking open, staying open too long, and so on.

What you really should do is disconnect the cylinder 6 injector and test resistance between the two pins. It should be between 10 ohms and 16 ohms. If it falls outside of that range, replace it.

Now, I attached the diagnostics below for the P0206 code. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable doing it.

Also, if you don't have a meter to test resistance, switch the number 6 injector with one from another cylinder and see if the code changes to the new cylinder.

Take a look at the diagnostics and let me know.

Take care,

Joe
