When I go to accelerate it bogs out, so I changed the throttle positioning sensor and fixed the problem, but now when I get up to about 40 to 55 MPH and it shifts into overdrive, I lose power and acceleration.

Hi,

I feel funny asking this, but when you purchased the TPS, did you get one that is a known good brand part? I ask because the powertrain control module (PCM) uses input from the TPS for shift points and torque converter engagement.

Are you certain all connectors are tight, and the plug is in good condition?

I attached the directions below, which are very straightforward. Just review them and see if there is anything you could have missed. Also, let me know if any codes are stored in the computer (check engine light on with the engine running). If there are codes such as P0121, P0122, or P0123 stored/related to voltage signals to the TPS, the PCM will go into a default mode, and you will likely notice a performance change. It's just a theory at this time but let me know.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
