Oldsmobile, Aurora, 1995, 136000 miles, 4.0l V8. I have recently purchased this car. When I purchased the car I changed Transmission filter and fluid and the oil filter becuase the monitor on the dash said oil life was 0%. Even after the oil changes(engine and transmission) it still displays the "Change Transmission fluid" and "Change engine oil" Message. How do I reset the monitor to clear this message? I have tried turning the ignition on and off 3 times but that does not work for Oldsmobile evidintly.

Your car is computerized. Above the radio you will find a computer system which will track all types of interesting data. You will need to bring up the menu by tapping the ENG button. It will cycle through different information in which you will find both the oil life and trans fluid life in their own locations. When you come across either just press and hold the reset button and it will take it back to 100% life. This is a really simple and helpful tool, once you figure it out.
