I have a 1996 olds achieva, automatic transmission, v-6 with 155,000 miles on it. I am having problems with it overheating. The heater core was changed which stopped the leaking of antifreeze onto my floorboard, a new thermostat has been put on and yet it is still overheating. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The previous overheating may have caused damage to the cylinder head gaskets. A bad radiator cap can cause it, Air pockets that didn't get bled out can cause it.
