have replaced oil & filter every 5,000 miles. Am surprised that lifters are leaking / "bleeding".
Cold strartup has rocker / valve chatter until warm.
Added oil additive to "revitalize seals" and drove for 1,000 miles. Has not fixed problem.

Questions:
1) Any other quick fix suggestions?
2) can I let it clatter?
3) What are steps to replace hydaulic lifters? Does it require engine removal from car?
If not, I'm pretty handy with cars and can guess the steps: But, have never done this before
A - remove valve cover
B - remove rocker arm
C - remove pushrod
D - remove lifter - special tools required?

Other than mystery oil, use about 1 quart, no oil additves, and check the pump pressure, if low lifters will be noisy. When and if the lifters quiet down with mystery oil, change the oil and filter and fill. I don't think you need any special tool, tho they do make a lifter remover...

Try going to this link

Look up your vehicle, then select TSB'S. There are several regarding engine oiling and the such. Also there will be step by step instructions on how to go about changing anything on or in your engine
