92 Ciera- code 27

Car is 1992 Olds Ciera, 3.3, automatic-
Will not crank- no click from solenoid- battery is good- lights, etc. Work-
code 27 was pulled- "second gear switch"-
What does this code indicate?
Where is this switch, can I jump it, bypass it in order to start the car and get it to a serviceable location?
(car is stuck in public parking lot)

Had to get car out off campus parking lot- experimented by disconnecting wire connection from switch on transmission- used short piece of wire to jump the two big wires- while doing this, sister was able to start car using key- drove car home-
