Hi there, I have a 96 cultass supreme with a 3.1, automatic, engine was replaced 2 yrs ago with a 3100 from a cavalier, then had to get tranny rebuilt. Car wouldn't start with key, so we replaced ignition lock cylinder with aftermarket one (this key has no resistor (chip) like original did, but the ignition does have 2 white wires just like old one. This new one does same as old, will turn dash lights on, but no crank. Can jump from solenoid, will die 2 seconds later. Help me please?!? Will aftermarket one work if i get a dealer coded key? what to do?
