The car has a v-6 engine with 85,000 miles. The serpentine belt is broken and needs replaced and the alternator has burned up. Our question is:
what is involved in replacing the serpentine belt and alternator? Is this a major repair or could a person with limited mechanical ability perform the repair?
thank you for your response to our question.

Yes just take your time and remember what goes where. If you want to go get a manual at a parts store and it will walk you through the process step by step. The should be a diagram on the hood or some place under the hood than shows the way the belt goes back on. Good luck
