Here is my problem I am hoping you all can help with. The 95 olds cutlass supreme has a 3100sfi v6 engine with 105000 miles.
Yesterday, driving home from work with the car fully warm and the A/C running she died. I determined the converter was clogged and cut it off today replacing it with a piece of str8 pipe for now. But now the car is running rich (which probably caused my converter problem) and at low throttle, the car will hesitate and buck. From a stop the car will buck, hesitate and come back to life running smooth. When I get into the pedal the car runs smooth. When I drive on the higway and just give it a little gas to mantain 65mph I can hear the same hesitating unless I get on the pedal again. I was hoping to not bring this car to my mechanic again as I am going broke:).
If it helps at all I sometimes run the car at idle for a good 30 minutes with the air on during my lunch break. If I do that now, after about 20 minutes the idle rpm will drop and it sounds kind of like its loading up.
Service engine light is on, always turns on and usually when the car warms up.
Many thanks for any help.

A few things could cause this. First, the converter needs to be replaced by law. Second, if the check engine light has come on, have you had the computer scanned to determine what is setting the light? Chances are it's a sensor, but which one is the question. If you have it scanned, you will know where to start. Most parts stores will scan it for free.
