2002 Oldsmobile Alero 66,000 miles

My low tire pressure light comes on periodically and lately I hear a rubbing noise only when I turn left.

Have you checked the tire pressure?

Yes, I have checked the pressure, it was a little low and I added some air. My main concern is that I hear the rubbing noise when I turn left, it sounds like it is coming from the tire and somewhat from the steering and only when I'm going slow, like parking or a making a u-turn. I only hear and feel the noise going forward not when I back up. It almost sounds like something isn't lubricated, almost like a whirring or rubbing sound. There is nothing stuck by the tire either. The low pressure light does not stay on, that is periodic.

Either the tire is rubibng something or the wheel bearing is going bad. I would start with checking that.
