My engine is making a really loud knocking noise. its not a constitant knocking, it sounds like something is circulating in the top of my engine. any ideas of what it could be and the cost to fix it?

Unfortunately there's no way to tell the cause of a knocking noise without inspecting the engine and probably tearing it apart.

Anything told to you would only be a guess. Sorry.
