1996 Oldsmobile 88 Starter won't engauge

I have a 96 olds 88 it won't turn over I tried jumping the solenoid and it will turn over then and start for a min then die So it seems the starter and solenoid are ok but no luck as faras usng the key
It was running and starting fine the other day we went to the store came out and it wouldn't turn over

Hello, maybe your theft system is causing a problem? Have you tried wiping off the pellet in the key, try a different key.

I tried wiping the key and I tried a different key neither worked, is there a way to bypass or reset the system

Have you tried cranking it in neutral? First, you need to be sure the problem is the theft system?
