I was wondering my owners manual says 3,000 miles to change oil. But I do more in town driving and have been less highway. But I do take my car on highway to, but not like I used to. And I see the car dealship here were I live, used to say 2,000 in north dakota conditons. But now it says 3,000. I dont drive on much dirt roads tho. But when temps in north dakota get -20 dont you think 3,000 is somewhat far.

Anytime you do alot of stop and go driving and especially if you make alot of trips that are less than fifteen minutes it is advisable to have oil cchanged every 2k drives that are less than fifteen mins. Do not let engine oil reach high enough temps to burn out condensation. Also if you do alot of stop and go driving I would recommend switching to a full synthetic oil its more expensive but you can go longer between oil changes.

I hope ive answered your question
