The additives in the oil wear out based on mileage, time, and temperature. Oil is oil and that does not change. We change oil because it becomes loaded with contaminants and the additives wear out. Your display is implying some computer knows better than you when that occurs and oil should be changed. In reality, most computers simply go by mileage. If you change your oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles, you should be fine unless the manufacturer of the truck or the manufacturer of the oil have something different to say.
