About halfway through the video, it really starts. My mechanic did a tune up and replaced a fuel injection that was leaking but it didn’t fix the problem and it does not do it when it’s at his shop. I’d like to sound a little knowledgeable when I go in. What do I do if he poo poo's my video?

Hi,

I would be happy to help, but I don't have a video from you or know what is happening other than noise. Could you provide the video so I can hear what you notice? Also, can you describe the sound and approximately where it seems to come from?

Let me know.

Hi,

I believe I hear something vibrating on and off. Is that what you are referring to? I'm really sorry, but it is so hard to tell on a computer. It's hard to hear things just because of the volume.

Let me know if that is a good way to describe it, a vibration. If it is, do you feel anything in the steering or throttle pedal?

Let me know,

Joe

Yes, it’s a vibration when I accelerate (sometimes). I don’t feel anything in the throttle or steering. It seems like it’s coming from underneath towards the back.

Take a rubber mallet and tap on the exhaust system to see if you can reproduce the noise or hear anything rattling. If you do, move close to the catalytic converters and see if that is where the sound is coming from.

Let me know.
