I have changed the throttle body and pedal sensor it still has a red lighting bolt and check engine light in the dash. It does not start until third or fourth attempt, rough idle and when driving it takes a long time to get to ten to fifteen mph at full throttle. I never make it over 25/30 mph.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

First, what trouble codes are stored in the computer? Also, did you try to reset the throttle control system? Anytime the battery is disconnected, it needs done.

Try this:
Turn the key to the run position (engine off).
Wait for the warning lights to turn off. However, the check engine light may remain on.
Slowly depress the accelerator pedal to the floor.
Slowly release the accelerator pedal until it is in the rest position.
Turn the ignition off.
Start the engine and test the throttle to see if that has reset it.

Try this and let me know if it helps. Also, if there are any trouble codes, let me know what they are.

Take care,
Joe
